First Grade Students Have Hands-on Experience
A custom visit for first grade students was provided on March 24, 2017 to the Lawson-Marriott class in the morning and the King & Queen Elementary class in the afternoon. The students and their chaperones toured the Museum, the nineteenth century schoolhouse, and the old post office/carriage house. They actively participated in hands-on demonstrations of “old fashioned” clothes washing and drying, writing with a quill pen, and spinning yarn from wool.
